Lumbrada: A Staged Reading
Co-Written: Jazmin Mercado Villalobos + Maria I. Arreola
A camping horror comedy with Latinx teens as its protagonists.

Jazmin Mercado Villalobos
Hi! I’m Jazmin Mercado Villalobos. I’m a long time horror fan with a film degree from Columbia College Chicago. My love for the genre started with the stories my relatives would share around the campfire (like the one I write about here). It was during those exchanges of stories that I learned about Mexican folklore and urban legend. So now instead of listening attentively in the glow of the flames, I’m writing my own spooky tales to keep the tradition alive.
